My friend called my old site 'a mess' and it actually helped

I was showing my old Angelfire page for a local band to a buddy, and he just said 'man, this is a beautiful mess.' He pointed out how the visitor counter and the spinning skull gif were the best parts, not the broken links. It made me see that the charm is in the clutter... What's the most 'messy' site you still love to visit?

My buddy Dave showed me his old band site from like 2003 and it had this animated flames banner across the top that said "WELCOME TO THE PIT" in all caps. The whole thing was built on a black background with neon green text you could barely read. He had a guestbook where the last entry was from 2007 and someone just wrote "ur bassist is hot". The real kicker was this embedded midi of "Welcome to the Jungle" that would start blasting and scare the crap out of you every time you loaded the page. Dave was so proud of it, said the flames and the jarring music were the whole point.

My buddy's old GeoCities page for his garage band had a midi file that played automatically. It was glorious.
