Rant: Let a stranger on GeoCities redesign my homepage and I still regret it
This guy in a Seattle chat room back in 1997 offered to add a MIDI player and a hit counter to my site, told me my hand-coded table layout was 'so 1995', and after he changed the background to that blinding neon green I got 3 angry emails from visitors and had to spend a whole night reverting it from my backup floppy, has anyone else let a helpful stranger touch their code and lived to tell?
