Spent $15 on a vintage webring script from 1997 - best decision I made this year
I run a small site dedicated to old school skate videos and wanted to link it with similar sites. Found a guy selling a Perl-based webring script he wrote in '97 on a nostalgia forum for 15 bucks. Got it installed in like 20 minutes and now I have 4 other sites in my ring. The design is straight out of the dial-up era with a blue tiled background and Comic Sans headers. My traffic actually went up by about 30 hits a week from it. Anyone else still using webrings or did you kill yours off years ago?

Buddy of mine runs a little zine archive site and he dug up an old webring script from some Geocities backup... got like 12 people in it now and says it's the most fun he's had running the site in years. Loves that the stats page looks like it's from 1998.
