Warning: I ran my GeoCities page in Netscape for a week because I thought tables were broken
Back in 1998 I built a fan page for my dog on GeoCities with a big nav table, and nothing lined up right no matter what I tried. I kept tweaking cellpadding and border tags for days (seriously, nights too), until my buddy glanced at it and said "dude, that's IE only. Netscape hates your nested tables." Turns out half the web ring sites I admired had two versions, one for each browser, and I never noticed. I felt like a total goof for blaming my own HTML. Did anyone else run a Netscape/IE split back then, or was I the only one who missed the memo?

Wow, I always blamed my own code too, never crossed my mind it was browser wars!
