I used to think spilled paint was just a mess, but a hardware store floor changed my mind
I was picking up some supplies at the local Ace last month and saw a huge, dried spill of different colored deck stains on the concrete floor. It had these perfect, layered swirls like an abstract painting. Most people just walk around it, but I stood there for a solid five minutes. Now I'm always looking down at gas station pavement or garage floors. Has anyone else found art in a place they were just trying to get out of?

It's funny how oil stains on asphalt after a light rain can look like galaxies... makes you wonder what else we're just walking past.

Totally get that. There's a crack in the sidewalk on my street that looks exactly like a tiny map of a river delta. I must have stepped over it a thousand times before I really saw it. Makes you look at the ground differently, doesn't it?
