Knocked over a can of paint on my driveway last week

I was rushing to grab a brush and accidentally kicked a half gallon of latex white across the concrete. The spill spread into this delicate branching pattern that looked exactly like birch bark, so I stopped cleaning and just let it dry. Anyone else ever had a mess turn into something worth keeping?

My friend knocked over a gallon of red paint in her garage and it dried into this perfect Texas shape. She cut the concrete out and hung it on her wall like folk art.

Wait, how did the pattern actually hold up after it dried fully? I feel like latex paint would just peel off in a week or two if you didn't seal it somehow, especially on concrete that gets walked on or rained on.
