Paid $18 for a melted Tupperware lid that looked like a modern sculpture

I spotted it at a yard sale in Tulsa, this warped plastic lid that had clearly met a hot stove. The way the edges curled looked like a melted Dali painting, so I handed over the cash without thinking. Got it home and put it on the shelf, and sure enough, it catches light weirdly and people ask about it. But yesterday I found the exact same look by microwaving a leftover container for 4 minutes too long. So my advice is, check your own kitchen before buying accidental art. Has anyone else overpaid for something that a bad microwave accident could have made for free?
