PSA: that $12 painter's tape saved my hallway from looking like a crime scene
I was taping off a door frame in my apartment in Tucson last Tuesday and pulled the tape way too fast, and the whole strip tore into a jagged mess that looked like a lightning bolt. Before I ripped it off I noticed the ridges and shadows actually looked like a mountain range, so I snapped a pic for my cousin who paints. Turns out the $12 roll of 3M edge tape was the one thing that made the mess peel clean instead of taking chunks of paint with it. Has anyone else had a sloppy tape job turn into something weirdly cool before you fixed it?
