Saw a perfect oil slick puddle behind the grocery store last Tuesday

I used to just walk past stuff like that, but now I always have my phone ready. The colors were wild, like a rainbow got melted into the pavement. Anyone else find themselves looking for these little patterns everywhere now?

Totally get what you mean about having your phone ready now. I'm the same way. I'll stop dead in a parking lot for a cool crack in the asphalt or the way light hits a broken bottle. My camera roll is full of weird stuff like that. It's like a whole other world opens up when you start looking for it.

Oh man, that's so true. I was reading about this idea called "soft fascination," where just looking at small, simple things gives your brain a real break. It's not about grand sunsets, it's like... the pattern of rust on a drainpipe or a single weed growing through concrete. My camera roll is just pages of peeling paint and weird shadows. It really does reset your whole head.
