Serious question, did anyone else think spilled paint was just a mess until they saw it under streetlights?

I used to just mop up any drips right away, but after seeing a rainbow oil slick on wet pavement in Seattle last month, I wait to see what the light does first. Has anyone else found a 'ruined' thing that turned into a cool photo?

Yeah, that's the whole thing with modern life. We're trained to see messes as problems to fix, not things to look at. I've started noticing it with cracked phone screens catching the light a certain way, or how rust on a dumpster can look like a painting if you stop rushing. It's like we have to fight the urge to clean everything up just to see what's actually there.

Whoa wait, cracked phone screens? Like you just leave them and watch the light? I never thought of that, that's kind of wild honestly.
