That time the sun hit my coffee spill just right and I had to stop and stare

I spilled coffee on my garage workbench last Tuesday, and the puddle spread around some old grease stains and sawdust. I was about to wipe it up when the afternoon sun came through the window and lit up the whole thing. The way the browns and yellows mixed together with the light made it look like an abstract painting. Has anyone else caught a mess in good light and thought twice about cleaning it?

Read somewhere that artists actually photograph their own spills for inspiration, believe it or not.

Is my coffee mug collection officially "artistic inspiration" then, or just evidence of my clumsiness? Guess I've been an accidental artist for years without knowing it.
