The bent nail in my mom's fence made a better picture than anything I've taken on purpose
I was helping my mom fix a sagging fence gate in her backyard in Boise last Saturday and pulled out a nail that had bent into a perfect little spiral. I almost tossed it in the scrap bucket, then held it up against the sunset and the twisted metal threw this cool shadow shaped like a fern on the wood. So I left it stuck in the post and took a photo with my phone. Now I keep catching bent screws and washers around the shop and holding them up to the light, which is slowing down my actual work. Has anyone else started noticing junk around the house because of this habit?
