TIL a coffee stain can actually look like a mountain range

I was so mad last week when I spilled my morning coffee on a receipt I was trying to save. But when I looked at the brown splatter, it had this perfect jagged edge that looked exactly like the Rockies. My friend Liz walked by and said 'that's actually kinda pretty, you should frame it.' So now I've got this coffee-stained receipt taped to my fridge and I'm not even mad anymore. It got me thinking about all the other accidental art I probably throw away without noticing. Do you guys ever stop and look at stains or cracks in your stuff before tossing it? Has anyone else turned a mess into a conversation piece by accident?

Liz sounds like the kind of friend who'd tell you a burnt grilled cheese was "abstract art" too. I had a crack in my bathroom tile that looked exactly like a gorilla's face for like two years before I finally got around to fixing it. Now every time I spill something I just stare at it for a solid minute before grabbing a paper towel.

Has anyone else here ever caught themselves staring at a wall crack a little too long? @rosejackson that gorilla tile must have been great for scaring guests, I used to think people who kept stains around were just messy, but now I get it, sometimes the accident is better than anything you could make on purpose. It has a way of making you slow down and notice the little things before scrubbing them away.
