I bought one of those cheap off brand ones and the temp was off by like 40 degrees the whole time. I only figured it out because I got one of those little oven thermometers for like 5 bucks at the grocery store and stuck it in there to check. Everything I cooked was either burnt on the outside or raw in the middle and I thought I was just bad at cooking. Turns out the sensor was just junk and it was running way hotter than what it said on the screen. You can get a cheap thermometer and just run your air fryer empty for a few minutes to see what it actually hits, then you know if it's lying to you or not.
