Debate: Is the $30 silicone air fryer liner worth it or a waste?
I bought a pack of silicone liners off Amazon for about $30 last month. On one hand, they make cleanup way faster because nothing sticks and I don't have to scrub the basket. But on the other hand, I feel like my fries come out less crispy compared to when I put them straight in the basket without the liner. The air flow seems blocked or something, your mileage may vary. Has anyone else noticed a texture difference with liners, or am I just imagining it? Which side do you land on, convenience or crispiness?

My buddy tried those and said his wings came out soggy.

Used to swear by the baking powder trick myself, actually. Tried a batch with a bit of cornstarch in the mix last month and they came out way crispier, even after sitting for a few minutes. My buddy said the same thing about his first try, but swapping the baking powder for a tiny amount of baking soda and some salt helped a ton. Most of it comes down to how dry you get the skin before coating them, I found.
