Just realized my frozen fries went from soggy to perfect in under a month
Honestly, my air fryer game with frozen fries was terrible for like the first three weeks. They'd come out either still limp or burnt on the edges, no in-between. I was about to give up and just use the oven again. Then I saw a comment on a cooking blog that said to shake the basket twice, not just once. I started doing that at the 5-minute mark and again at 8 minutes for a 12-minute cook. The difference is crazy. Now they're crispy all over every single time. It seems so small, but that extra shake changed everything. Has anyone else found a tiny step that fixed a whole recipe for them?

Yeah, I found spraying a little oil on them first made all the difference for me.

Shaking twice is just extra work for no real gain. A single good shake halfway through has always been fine for me. Adding more steps just complicates a simple process. Why mess with something that already works?
