My air fryer saved dinner after a crazy day at work

Last Tuesday was just one of those days. My boss piled on extra work, my kid got sent home from school, and I completely forgot to take anything out of the freezer. By 6 PM, I was staring at a block of frozen chicken breasts feeling totally beat. I remembered a hack I saw online about cooking frozen meat in the air fryer. I threw those rock-hard breasts in my Cosori at 380 degrees, gave them 10 minutes, flipped them, then did another 10. While they cooked, I chopped some broccoli and tossed it in a bowl with a little oil and garlic powder. When the chicken was done, I pulled it out, put the broccoli in the basket, and let that go for 7 minutes. The chicken was fully cooked and juicy, and the broccoli got nice and crispy. We ate in 30 minutes flat. Has anyone else tried cooking straight from frozen like that? What other proteins work?

Totally get the frozen chicken thing. I tried that with some frozen salmon filets once and it came out weirdly dry on the outside but still cold in the middle, so I just gave up and ordered pizza.

Ever think you might have just cooked it too hot? A lower temperature for a longer time can actually work pretty well from frozen. It just takes some patience to get it right.

Wait, you just put frozen broccoli right in the same basket after the chicken? No washing it or anything? That chicken juice is just... all over the veggies. I could never do that, the whole idea of raw poultry juice on my other food freaks me out. I'd have to scrub that basket in between for sure.
