Pro tip: don't air fry a whole frozen pizza unless you want a 3 minute smoke show in your apartment
Last Tuesday I got home late from the dental office in Ames and decided a frozen pizza in the air fryer was a genius move. Three minutes in, smoke started rolling out like a chimney and my neighbor Marcus knocked to ask if I was okay. Turns out the box said to remove the cardboard first, which I did not do. Does anyone have a frozen food they actually trust in the air fryer, or should I just stick to wings?
I saw a TikTok where this guy tested like 8 frozen foods in his air fryer and pizza rolls were the only ones that didn't make a mess or smoke up his kitchen. He said the key is stuff that's already crispy and small since it heats fast without burning the outside. Bagel bites worked too but you have to shake them halfway or they stick to the basket. Wings are still the safest bet though, mine come out perfect every time with zero drama.
