Pro tip: Frozen chicken wings go from soggy to crispy in 12 minutes flat
I always did frozen wings in the oven at 400 for like 45 minutes and they came out okay but kinda limp. Then last Tuesday I threw a bag of them in my air fryer at 380 for 12 minutes, flipped halfway. The difference was wild - they were actually crunchy on the outside and juicy inside, not dry at all. I used a little baking powder rub before tossing them in too, not sure if that helped. Has anyone else tried doing them straight from frozen instead of thawing first?

Oh man, @allen.amy, your air fryer's got a mind of its own apparently. Mine runs hot too, so I started dialing it back to 360 and checking at the 10 minute mark instead. Saves me from eating charcoal every time. The baking powder trick works but only if you pat the frozen wings dry first, otherwise it just turns into a crusty paste. I learned that one the hard way after my kitchen smelled like a burnt science experiment for three days. Keep at it though, once you nail the temp your life changes.

Honestly though, does anyone actually thaw frozen wings first? I always figured the whole point of buying frozen was convenience, not adding extra steps. But I tried the air fryer method you described and my batch came out more burnt on the outside than crispy. Maybe it's my air fryer running hot or something.
