Serious question, how long does everyone spend on finding the right temp for wings?

I always just guessed at 400 degrees for 12 minutes and hoped for the best. Took me about 6 batches over two days to figure out that 380 for 18 minutes with a flip halfway actually gets them crispy without drying out. Has anyone else dealt with trial and error taking way longer than you expected?

Man 380 at 18 minutes with a flip is actually pretty solid, I've landed on almost the same thing but I go 375 for 20 minutes. Only thing I'd gently push back on is the flip halfway part, you really want to flip them more like every 5-6 minutes if you can manage it. Keeps the skin from getting soggy on the bottom side and lets both sides get that even crisp. Took me way too many wings to figure that out lol.

Saw a video where a chef swore by 375 and rotating every 6 minutes.
