Spent $35 on a fancy air fryer liner set and I'm not sure it was worth it.
I got a pack of those silicone basket liners with the little holes, thinking it would make cleanup a breeze for things like marinated chicken or greasy sausage. It does keep the basket cleaner, but I feel like the food doesn't get as crispy, especially on the bottom. The air flow seems blocked a bit. My friend swears by using a little foil on the bottom for messy stuff and says liners are a waste. Has anyone else tried these and found a way to make them work better, or should I just ditch them?

My $40 liner set is basically a fancy trivet now. I'm with @troyt13, a quick spray and the dishwasher does the job without killing the crisp.

Honestly, I just spray the basket with oil and run it through a dishwasher cycle. Works fine.

I bought a 5 pack of those silicone liners for around the same price and pretty much had the same issue with chicken thighs not crisping up on the bottom. What kinda worked for me was flipping the food halfway through cooking so both sides get some direct heat, but it's still not as good as just using the bare basket. I ended up only using the liners for really sticky stuff like teriyaki chicken or when I'm doing a big batch of wings that might drip a lot. For regular stuff, I just spray the basket with cooking spray and it cleans up fine in the dishwasher. Might be worth keeping them around for the messy cooks but not as an everyday thing.
