That $15 silicone air fryer mat turned my chicken into rubber
I grabbed a cheap silicone mat from a discount store last week to avoid cleanup, but my chicken thighs came out soggy and rubbery instead of crispy. Turns out the mat blocked air circulation completely and trapped moisture underneath. Has anyone else had better luck with the parchment paper liners or should I just go back to spraying the basket directly?

Learned that lesson the hard way too, now my air fryer just gets greasy fingerprints everywhere like me.
