Choosing a paper planner over a digital calendar was a bigger deal than I thought

I switched to a paper planner about 8 months ago after my phone calendar kept glitching. The choice was between a fancy leather-bound planner or a simple spiral notebook. I went with the notebook because it was only 5 dollars and I could draw my own layouts. It took me 3 weeks to get used to writing everything down, but now I remember appointments better. The downside is I can't set reminders, so I have to check it every morning. Has anyone else made this switch and found a good way to handle daily to-do lists without digital alerts?

Honestly the part about drawing your own layouts is the real game changer. Tbh I started using a paper planner because it forces my brain to slow down and actually process what I'm writing. With a phone calendar I just tap stuff in and forget it exists. Ngl the lack of reminders is tough, but I put my planner right next to my coffee maker so I see it first thing. That physical habit of checking it over breakfast works better for me than any notification I used to swipe away.

Actually you can set reminders on a paper planner too, I just put a little alarm clock doodle next to stuff I can't miss.
