DAE get frustrated when stores can't handle a simple power outage?
The lights went out at the grocery store last week, and everything just stopped. It made me think back to when clerks used pen and paper to keep things moving. How do you cope when tech fails like that?

Had a similar thing happen at the gas station last month. The pumps went dead, and the attendant just shrugged like there was nothing to do. Ngl, it made me miss the old manual pumps where you could at least try to figure it out. Now I keep a jerry can in the trunk just in case.

Carry a small flashlight on my keychain now after getting stuck in a dark store. It helps me figure out totals on my phone calculator so I can at least pay with close cash. Kind of silly we have to go back to workarounds like that, but it beats just standing there.
