I finally ditched my digital recipe app after my neighbor called my cooking 'soulless'

She said my meals looked like assembly instructions, so I bought a $3 notebook at the thrift store and now I write everything by hand, stains and all. Anyone else gone back to a physical cookbook after years of using a screen?

My buddy's wife threw out his tablet after he followed a digital recipe that called for a cup of salt instead of a teaspoon. He went back to his grandma's old church cookbook and hasn't burned dinner since. Something about paper just makes you pay attention.

I used to think digital recipes were the way to go for sure. But my own lasagna disaster last year, where I mixed up tablespoons and cups because I was scrolling too fast, proved your point. Maybe I should dig out my mom's old recipe box?
