My neighbor's garden calendar changed how I plan my week

I saw Mrs. Henderson across the street taping a big paper calendar to her shed door. She told me she marks planting dates and chores on it with a red pen. I always used my phone for that stuff. Last Tuesday, I forgot to water my seedlings because my phone died. So I bought a cheap wall calendar from the drugstore. Writing things down feels different, like I actually see the whole month. Does anyone else use a paper calendar for more than just appointments?

You know my buddy Kevin tried that? He got a giant desk calendar for his woodworking projects. He started drawing little icons, like a saw for cutting day or a paintbrush for staining. He said looking at the whole week of pictures made him realize he was trying to sand something right after gluing it, which never works. The picture just clicked in a way a list on his screen didn't.

Ha, you're onto something. I use a big paper map next to mine. I mark weather patterns from the local news with sticky notes. Seeing a cold front drawn right over next Thursday's tomato planting slot stops me from making a dumb mistake my phone alert would never catch.

Totally! My paper grocery list works the same way.
