My neighbor's kid was trying to fix a wobbly table leg with a phone app
I saw him holding his phone at different angles, and the table was still rocking after 10 minutes. I walked over, folded a single matchbook cover from the diner on Main, and slid it under the short leg, which fixed it instantly. When did people forget that most problems don't need a battery to solve?

That level app probably has a tutorial library for a dozen other home fixes. My phone taught me how to patch drywall last month, which a matchbook couldn't do. The battery isn't the problem, it's just a different kind of tool.

My phone's flashlight plus a bubble level app saved me when I had to hang six shelves in a rental. The old matchbook trick just tells you if one spot is flat, not the whole run. That app showed me the shelf was off by a full inch over four feet, something I'd have totally missed.
