PSA: I wasted $40 on a 'smart' planner that needs an app to work

Bought a fancy planner from a company called 'DayCraft' because it promised to sync my tasks. Turns out you need to scan QR codes with your phone for everything, which defeats the whole point of writing things down. I just wanted a simple paper book, not another screen. Anyone have a good recommendation for a basic, no-gimmicks weekly planner?

DayCraft actually solved a real problem for me last semester. I had to keep switching between my paper notes and my phone calendar for group projects. Scanning the QR code to send a task to my teammate felt easier than rewriting it all. Maybe the point isn't to avoid screens, but to make the paper and the phone work together better.

Ugh, classic. Try Moleskine's weekly notebook.

$40 for a glorified QR code is brutal. My cousin tried DayCraft last month and ended up just taping the QR codes onto her wall like some weird art project. Moleskine is solid, but check out the Leuchtturm1917 weekly if you want thicker paper that won't bleed with gel pens.
