The mail carrier who made me ditch my phone for a notepad
Last month, my regular mail carrier, Deb, caught me scrolling through a notes app while holding a package. She just laughed and said, "You're typing a list but you're not writing it down, so it doesn't stick." She pulled a battered spiral notebook out of her saton and showed me her route checklists, all in pencil, with little stars for houses that need extra care. I tried her method for a week, writing down my grocery list and three work tasks each morning, and I remembered twice as much without even looking at the paper. The funny part is I now keep that notebook in my truck, and I've started using it for tree estimates too, just like Deb does for her 400 stops. Has anyone else found that a physical list changes how you actually get things done?

Doesn't stick" is so true... I switched to sticky notes for job sites and never looked back.
