The moment I chose a paper planner over my phone calendar

After missing two doctor appointments in one month because my phone calendar just blended into all the other notifications, I grabbed a basic paper planner from the drugstore for $8.50. I picked a simple weekly layout, no stickers or frills, just space to write stuff down. It's been three months now and I actually remember what I'm supposed to be doing because I have to physically flip a page and see the whole week at once. The weird thing is I feel less stressed, like my phone isn't buzzing at me all the time. Has anyone else found that writing something down by hand makes it stick better in your brain or am I just getting old?

Are you sure it's the paper and not just getting away from your phone buzzing all day? I tried the same thing and it was mostly just the relief of not having notifications ruining my focus.
