The old library card catalog in Portland taught me something

I stopped by the downtown Portland library last Tuesday to return a book and noticed they still keep a wooden card catalog drawer in the reference section. The librarian said it's used by people who can't handle screens and they refill the blank cards weekly. Has anyone else found unexpected analog tools still working in public spaces, and how do you convince younger folks to try them?
