Used to spend 20 minutes scrolling Spotify to pick a record and now I just grab whatever vinyl sleeve catches my eye from the stack by the couch.
Switched six months ago when my phone died mid-playlist and I pulled out Lou Reed's Transformer from a milk crate at a garage sale, has anyone else found that random physical picks beat digital planning every time?

My neighbor gave me a scratched-up Johnny Cash record eight years ago and I still grab it more than anything on my phone. I've got no real system for picking from the stack, mostly just whatever sleeve is on top or has the least dust on it. My taste in music is basically run by pure laziness now and somehow it works better than all those hours I used to spend curating playlists.

oh man, i had this exact thing happen last summer. i grabbed a random Fleetwood Mac album from a thrift bin just because the cover looked cool and it ended up being my favorite thing to put on all season. digital playlists are fine but there's something about the surprise factor that just hits different lol.
