Vent: my mechanic in Reno showed me how to check tire tread with a penny and I almost argued with him
I was at a shop off Wells Ave in Reno getting my truck looked at and this older guy named Ray saw me eyeballing the tires, trying to guess if I needed new ones. He pulled a penny out of his pocket, stuck it in the groove upside down, and said if you can see all of Lincoln's head, you're done. I always thought people just said that online as a joke. He also made me keep the penny and now it lives in my glovebox. Does anyone else still use coins for this stuff or am I just behind on everything?
