Called BS on the whole 'warm up your film' thing for years

Always thought it was bro science. Like people who swear their car runs better after a specific brand of oil. Then I loaded some old Portra 400 I'd kept in my glovebox during that July heatwave. Snapped a whole roll at my sister's wedding reception, got it developed, and every single shot had this ugly green cast. Tried the same film stock fresh from the fridge on the next trip, perfect colors. Guess the heat really does mess with the emulsion. Anyone else learn this the hard way?

Blame the lab not the heat, I've baked film on purpose for years with zero issues.

@wyatta30 baked film and expired film can look great, but heat-haze has a different texture.
