Dropped $65 on a "film rescue" kit from an estate sale, turns out it was just expired film and a broken camera
I got excited at a garage sale in Reno last month and bought a cardboard box labeled "photo stuff" for $65, thinking I scored some vintage gear. When I got home I found 6 rolls of film that expired in 2004 and a Minolta with a shutter that only fires every third try, so I basically paid for a paperweight. Has anyone else bought a "deal" like this and actually got anything usable, or do I just need to test stuff before handing over cash?
