Found a cheap way to keep my film canisters organized on a hike

I was always digging through my pack for the right roll, especially on a long day in the Smokies. I took an old plastic 35mm film canister and superglued a small magnet to the lid, then stuck another magnet inside my bag's front pocket. Now I can just snap the canister I'm currently shooting to the outside of the pack for easy access. Does anyone else have a simple hack for keeping film handy without a dedicated pouch?

Honestly, I just use a zip-top bag from the grocery store. It keeps the dust off and I can see all the rolls at once. The magnet thing seems like a lot of work for maybe saving two seconds. My main worry is that canister popping off on a rough trail and getting lost.

My dad used a magnet system for his pipe tobacco tins on fishing trips in the 80s. He had a big magnet sewn into his vest and would stick the tin to his chest. Worked great until he leaned over a stream and lost a full tin of Balkan Sobranie to the current. The look on his face was pure tragedy.
