Hit 500 rolls of film without realizing it, that number blew my mind

I was going through my storage bins last weekend, counting my developed negatives for a cataloging project, and I hit 500 rolls shot since 2018. That number surprised me because I never kept a tally, I just shot a roll whenever I went out, mostly around Portland and on road trips. Has anyone else suddenly realized they hit a big milestone like this, and did it change how you think about your shooting habits?

Wait, is hitting 500 rolls actually a good thing, or is it just a sign you've been hoarding for years? I mean, that's like 500 little plastic time capsules sitting in bins, and half of them probably have blurry shots of the same bridge you've photographed every weekend. Don't get me wrong, I love film too, but maybe the real milestone isn't the number shot, it's how many rolls you actually print or scan and look at more than once. I've got drawers full of negatives I'll never touch again, and honestly that thought makes me want to slow down and be way pickier about what I burn through.
