I finally found a roll of film from 2017 that looked totally different after getting it developed now vs back then
So I had this roll of Portra 400 sitting in my fridge since 2017, never got it developed cause I just kinda forgot about it. Finally sent it off to The Darkroom last month and when I got the scans back, the colors were way more muted and the shadows had this weird greenish tint compared to the fresh rolls I shot last week. I think the cold storage actually slowed down the chemical degradation over 7 years, giving it a completely different look. Has anyone else noticed big changes in old film they sat on for years?

Honestly, did you notice any shift in the color balance on the negatives themselves or just the scans?

Not sure it's worth stressing over, @lucas165. Film stocks shift all the time with age and storage, so is a tiny color tweak really that big of a deal? Unless you're printing huge enlargements, most people won't even notice.
