Just realized my cheap thrift store camera is actually good

I picked up a Minolta X-700 at a garage sale for $10 last spring. Everyone told me it was a beginner camera, so I left it in a drawer for months. Finally tested it with a roll of Fuji 400 and the portraits came out sharper than my usual digital shots. Anyone else find a sleeper camera for pocket change?

Read somewhere that the X-700's meter is actually one of the best ever made for film.

Heard the same thing @matthew_baker, some old Minolta engineer said that meter was way ahead of its time for average scene reading.
