Lab pushed my Portra to 1600 by accident and now I can't decide if it was a happy mistake
Dropped off 3 rolls of Portra 400 last Thursday at a shop in Portland and asked for standard dev, but they misread my note and pushed one roll to 1600. The negatives came back dense and grainy, yet the colors were warmer and more saturated than anything I get shooting normally. I honestly hated it at first, but now I'm torn because the skin tones look amazing in low light. Do you guys stick to your intended process when a mistake happens, or do you chase the accident and build a style around it?
