Lost $40 on a bulk pack of expired film from a random seller on eBay

I saw a deal for 10 rolls of Portra 160 for $40 and thought I'd struck gold for my street photography in Portland. Every single roll came out with this awful cyan color shift and grain like sandpaper, even at box speed. Has anyone else had luck saving expired film with special development tricks, or am I just out the cash?
