My cousin said my photos looked 'too perfect' and it bugged me for a week.
We were looking at my shots from a trip to the Oregon coast, and she pointed out that I only kept the technically flawless frames. She said, "The blurry one of your dog running is the one that feels real." It made me think I've been editing out the happy accidents. Do you ever keep a technically 'bad' shot because the feeling is right?

Remember that time my camera lens got smudged with rain at a picnic. The whole set came out with this soft, dreamy glow around everyone laughing. I still look at those messy shots more than the crisp ones from that day. Sometimes the flaws hold the memory better than the perfect picture ever could.

Disagree with that take honestly. Those blurry photos would just make me mad I missed the clear shot. The crisp ones show everyone's real smiles, not some rain filter. I get what you mean faiths12 about memories, but a good memory deserves a clean picture to match. Flaws feel more like a mistake than some special charm to me. I'd rather have the real moment saved right, not hidden behind a smudge.
