My manager let me shoot the project wrap-up on 35mm

The developed roll told the story of our team's hard work.

My buddy Mark tried something like that for his design team's last launch. He borrowed an old film camera and shot the final week of crunch time. When the photos came back, there was this one shot of a coffee-stained sketchbook next to a half-eaten sandwich (the kind of thing you'd never stop to take with your phone). It ended up being the image they all wanted framed, because it showed the real, tired hours that went into the work. The digital shots from that day looked clean and staged by comparison. That roll of film just had a way of holding the feeling of the room, you know?

35mm captures the messy desks digital ignores.

Oh man, that reminds me of my old band's demo tape. We recorded it on a busted four-track in a garage, and all the hiss and mistakes (the ones we couldn't just fix with a click) are what make it sound like us now. The clean digital remaster we tried later just killed the vibe completely.
