Picked a cheap point-and-shoot over a used SLR for my trip to Portland and I'm still unsure
Honestly I stood in the camera shop in Portland for like 20 minutes holding a $40 Olympus point-and-shoot in one hand and a $90 Pentax SLR in the other. I went with the point-and-shoot because it fit in my jacket pocket and I didn't want to lug a bag around. The photos came out fine but kind of flat, and I missed being able to mess with the aperture when the light got weird at the Saturday market. Tbh I keep looking at the roll and wondering if I would've gotten more out of the SLR. Has anyone else gone pocket camera and regretted it, or did the easy carry end up winning for you too?
