Rolled a whole roll in Big Sur and didn't notice until frame 36

I was shooting on this cliff near the Pfeiffer Beach turnoff and the rewind crank felt loose, but I kept going because the light was perfect. Turns out the film never caught the take-up spool, so I got 36 blank frames and a brutal lesson in checking that little knob before you start, anyone else lost a whole roll that way?

Took me 2 full rolls on a beach in Oregon back in 09 before I figured it out. Now I always give the rewind crank a few turns right after loading, if it doesn't get tight, I know the spool didnt catch. Saves me the heartbreak every time.
