Vent: I keep seeing people call expired film 'moody' when it's just fogged

Honestly, I shot a roll of Kodak Gold 200 that sat in my hot car for a summer, and the shots from the county fair came out with this weird gray haze and no shadow detail. I see folks online posting similar shots saying it gives a 'vintage mood', but ngl, it just looks like a messed up chemical reaction to me. I developed it myself at home to be sure, and the film base itself had a visible fog. Has anyone else had a roll turn out like this and actually liked the look?
