Blew $60 on a streaming service for old mecha shows

Subscribed to RetroCrunch thinking I'd get all the Gundam series, but it only had two movies and kept buffering during the final battle of 0080. Anyone else get burned by a niche anime site that promised way more than it delivered?

Yeah I learned that lesson the hard way too, those sites always cut off right when it gets good.

Those sites always cut off right when it gets good" - yep, that's exactly what happened to my friend Sarah. She was reading this fanfiction on one of those sites, got like 10 chapters in, and bam. Paywall. She was so mad she almost paid for it, but I talked her out of it. Next day the whole site was down anyway. Never found out how that story ended.
