Found an old anime forum post from 2018 that predicted the current isekai boom

I was digging through my old bookmarks last night and found a forum thread from three years ago. Someone posted a detailed breakdown of how many isekai shows aired each season since 2015 and predicted we'd hit 20+ per season by 2021. They were pretty close. It got me thinking about how the genre has changed since then. Do you think we've peaked on isekai or is there still room for new takes on the formula?
