Heads up about that 'complete' anime box set from last year's convention

I dropped over $80 on it, only to find out half the episodes are the heavily edited TV broadcast versions, not the uncut ones. Has anyone else gotten burned by a misleading physical release recently?

My buddy bought the "special edition" Blu-ray of that old mecha show, Gundam something. It was missing the original Japanese audio track, just had the bad English dub. He was so mad he returned it the next day.

Maybe the dub's charm is part of the whole nostalgic experience though.

danielgonzalez that Gundam thing stings, I feel for your buddy. With my own box set disaster, I finally got my money back by taking photos of the mismatch between the packaging claims and the actual discs. I emailed the convention seller directly and explained I'd be filing a chargeback with my card company. They caved pretty fast when they realized I had proof they advertised it wrong. It took a week of back and forth but I got a full refund and told them to keep the set. Wish I'd known to check the episode runtimes before handing over cash though.
