I thought the hype around 'Odd Taxi' was just more internet noise, but I was wrong.

My buddy kept telling me to watch it for months, and I finally gave in last week. I figured a show about a walrus cab driver would be weird for the sake of it. By the third episode, the way all the little character stories started linking up totally got me. Has anyone else had a show they doubted completely win them over like that?

My friend had to beg me for weeks to try Bojack Horseman, and now it's my favorite show ever.

Heard the first few episodes are a slow burn, but it really picks up after that.

Man, I was the same way with Bojack Horseman actually. I remember telling @ninam76 I thought it was just another dumb cartoon about a talking horse, and then I binged the first three seasons in a week. The way Odd Taxi weaves all those separate stories together is something else though, it sneaks up on you before you even realize what's happening. I used to roll my eyes at people saying a show "starts slow but pays off," but now I get it.
